Broward Parents Support Group – Our purpose in homeschooling is to raise children who are godly and spiritually wise as well as skillful and knowledgeable in every area that will be useful to them as they serve and glorify the Lord in their future lives, families, and ministries to others.
South Florida HEAT (Home Education Athletic Team) – We are Christian based, FHSAA accredited, not-for-profit organization working with homeschooling families toward growing tomorrow’s servant-leaders through learning and applying life-lessons available from the competitive interscholastic athletic arena. The HEAT was created to make it possible for homeschooled kids to participate and compete against public and private schools.
The Florida Parent-Educators Association (FPEA) serves thousands of homeschooling families in Florida, delivering a wealth of support, guidance and information to both new and longtime home educators. The “FPEA Experience” involves a banding together of homeschoolers to accomplish the task of developing academic and personal excellence by sharing resources, creating connections, enhancing relationships and breaking down barriers. Acknowledging there is no one “right” way to educate, the FPEA acts as an ambassador and champion, serving and protecting the rights and choices of all homeschoolers.
“SAINTS” is a Professional Physical Education Program presently serving homeschool families from Hollywood to Orlando and Naples, FL and now Zambia, Kenya and Guatemala. Since our founding in 1997, this ministry reaches over 3500 children each week!
Home Education is a parent-directed educational option that satisfies the requirement for regular school attendance. Florida Laws protecting home education became effective in 1985. Parents have the freedom to determine their child’s educational path and the plan for reaching their goals. Students have the opportunity to explore and learn at their own pace, in any location or at any time. Home education students are able to enter institutions of higher learning and are eligible to participate in the Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program. More than 84,000 students in approximately 58,000 families are in Home Education Programs throughout Florida.
